Tour the SNC Respite House

Tour the SNC Respite House

Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood in Smryna, you can find Special Needs Cobb's Respite House.  It is an open and airy one level house with a fenced backyard and a homey feel.  On weekends, SNC hosts guests for respite overnights.  The monthly rotation includes separate weekends for adult men, adult women, as well as children and teens.

Let's take a visual tour so you can see this special place.

The Main Living Area

The front door leads to an open foyer and a large living room with comfy seating and a wall mounted tv.  The living room is connected to the dining and kitchen area.

The Kitchen

Simple meals are prepared in the kitchen by the staff and the guests will eat together.

Some meals may be eaten out during community outings.

The 4 Guest Bedrooms

There are 3 single rooms and one double room with twin beds.

Some guests prefer to sleep in the double room with a friend.

The Guest Bathrooms

Guests have access to two bathrooms.

Some assistance in toileting can be provided, but guests should be mostly independent in the restroom.  Guests who require lifting cannot be accommodated at this time.

The Staff Rooms

Two staff members are present for 4 guests.

The current staff has been with SNC for over 5+ years.

They are CPR/First Aid Certified and annually trained, as well as background-checked.
