NOTE;CHARSET=UTF-8:Special Olympics is a year round program of training and
  competition for children (ages 8 &amp\; up) and adults with special needs.
  Participants receive opportunities to increase physical fitness\, demonstr
 ate courage\, and develop friendships with other Special Olympics athletes 
 and the community.\r\n\r\nSpecial Olympics offers a variety of athletic opp
 ortunities including bowling\, gymnastics\, ice skating\, basketball\, alpi
 ne skiing golf and tennis to name a few. Athletes practice/train for at lea
 st 8 weeks before state level competitions.\r\n\r\nPlease note Cobb County 
 Therapeutic Recreation handles registration for Cobb SOGA teams on the Cobb
  County website.  Other organizations within our area may send teams to th
 e events\, but it will be handled by each individual organization.
